[jira] [Commented] (YARN-1383) Remove node updates from the Fair Scheduler event log

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-1383?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13811222#comment-13811222 ]

Karthik Kambatla commented on YARN-1383:
----------------------------------------

This heartbeat log was helpful, at least to me, in the past while debugging production issues. Can we not remove it entirely, may be a flag to turn it on/off would be nice.

I am not sure if FS event log is always on - if it is, I definitely see merit to turning it off by default and have a flag for users to turn it on when needed.
