### What happened?
Metric dag.<dag_id>.<task_id>.duration is missing.
Found that the metric was removed in this particular commit - https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/50141/files#diff-f660147b2482fe9eb7c256a6e9b5c0d8c0623fc31beaf5048e476e9bd1b7823b
Is this intended?
### What you think should happen instead?
Metric dag.<dag_id>.<task_id>.duration should be available as per documentation.
### How to reproduce
Scrape airflow metrics and look for dag.<dag_id>.<task_id>.duration metric.

To confirm this matches what you're seeing:
1. Are the affected tasks ending in success or skipped? (Check one task you know succeeds — if its duration is present, we're on the same bug.)
2. Are you using ShortCircuitOperator, BranchPythonOperator, or BashOperator with skip_on_exit_code?
3. If successful tasks are also missing the metric, that's a different bug — please share a minimal repro or details about the task you ran

Yep, I can confirm this is present in 3.1.8 as well.
Seeing the same behavior — duration metric isn’t emitted for skipped tasks,
while success/failed ones look fine.
