Git as a versioned notebook storage was introduced in one of the latest PRs: https://github.com/apache/incubator-zeppelin/pull/497. However versioning happens for every save operation on notebook with the default commit message. It would be more useful to be able to control what to commit by the notebook user from frontend. Would be nice to hear community opinions as well.
