Simple "state machine" functionality using Scala or Python

Hello

Can anyone provide a simple example how to implement a "state machine" 
functionality using Scala or Python in Spark?

Sequence of the state machine would be like this:
1) Searches first event of log and its data
2) Based on the data of the first event, searches second event of log 
and its data
3) And so on..
