CMS Using Embperl

Hiya,

Anyone know or an open source/GPL licensed content management system based
on Embperl? We're looking at how to develop our website and don't want to
re-invent the wheel!

I've looked at all the usual PHP-focused solutions, but we'd like to stick
to using Embperl. Any suggestions/pointers would be much appreciated.

It's called 'ewok', and I'll announce it on the embperl list as well as
on freshmeat, just so you don't miss it. :-) No download address yet.

Cheers,
Gavin

Hi Gavin,
what's the name of the thing so I don't miss the announcement on
freshmeat.net? ;-)
Do you have any download address yet?

Andre

Hi Gavin,

Sounds fantastic, certainly like to have a look at it, if that's OK. Let me
know when/where it'll be available, happy to help with feedback and
de-bugging (where I can ;-)

Hi Sam,

I've got one that's about a week away from its first public release
(GPLed). It's got browser-based file management, EmbperlObject
templating, a staging/publishing model, Wiki-style text markup,
configurable metadata on files and directories, a flexible user model,
and sundry other bits and pieces.

Limitations: it's beta; it only supports Embperl 1.3.4 at the moment
(2.0 support is next on the TODO list); and it currently requires
mod_perl, a Unix-based apache, and (probably) root access to install.

I'm happy to let you have a play if you'd like to try it out.

Cheers,
Gavin
