[jira] Commented: (HADOOP-7019) Remove fault injection artifacts from the default build and push to maven

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-7019?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12930850#action_12930850 ]

Konstantin Boudnik commented on HADOOP-7019:
--------------------------------------------

Current build does it _only_ for the purpose of artifacts deployment. instrumented build for system testing (there are no 'fault injection' artifacts per se) are needed for upstream projects in order to run cluster based system tests.

Hope it helps to understand the picture a bit better.

> The current build always generates fault injection artifacts and pushes them to Maven. Most developers have no need for these artifacts and no users need them.
