> Currently there is other way to know what the CatalogJanitor is doing except in the logs. We should have better visibility of when it was the last time the CatalogJanitor ran, how long it took to scan meta, the number of merged and parent regions cleaned on the last run, and if in maintenance mode (see HBASE-16008).
