configuring lucene in Lenya1.2

Hi,

I was just going through the solprovider's version of tweaking lucene into the Lenya CMS. But we need the batch file to run for indexing. Is there any way to have the indexing done automatically without manually running the batch file.. how is it used in the production scenario.
