Problem with ant init

I've seen several messages regarding the error I am
receiving, however none of them seem to suggest a fix.

I am attemping to generate the TDK sample app on a
Win2K machine, java version "1.3.1" and I am going
against a MySQL database(installed from binaries.

When I attempt to run the "ant init", I receive:

Has anyone determined the cause of this problem ?
