Cache...again.

Hello.

Nevertheless I make it work with OQLquerys, using QueryByCriteria (from
PersistenceBrokerFactory.defaultPersistenceBroker) I have problems with data
updates, since the objects are returned from some cache I can't spot. I know
the database is not being accessed (since I have a field conversor (trying
to get the timestamp working) that writes to the stdout and I get nothing
written). I've searched ojb.properties for the word "cache" but I can't find
any other enabled cache.

Can you help me... again.

Regards,

You have me stumped with this one... :(

As far as I know, ODMG uses Criteria. Consequently I don't understand
how an OQLquery returns the expected result and QueryByCriteria doesn't.

The problem I have its the same I had with OQLQueries. I delete a row from
de DB and when I read all entries, the deleted one stills appear...if I
check the DB externally I can certify that the row has been sucessfully
deleted. Its very weird...the OQLQueries doesn't return the deleted row, but
the QueryByCriteria does...
What kind of differences are causing this behaviour, and how can I correct
this?

Thank you,
Goncalo.

Could you specify on the problems with data updates?

As for the cache, there is only one as far as I know. It's pretty well
documented at: http://db.apache.org/ojb/objectcache.html

A detail that sometimes get overlooked is the equals function of the
mapped object. Any mistake in this function could result in odd
behavior. But this is just a shot in the dark.
