    Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
      Assignee: Sachin Patel

Cannot reproduce this. If you Run As from and Ear, the expected behavior is the dialog box indicating that there is no client to launch the selection, however when selecting the web project, there is a client which launches the browser.

[jira] Commented: (GERONIMODEVTOOLS-58) After Run->Run as Server get message "Could not find a client that is able to launch the selection"

Edson Richter commented on GERONIMODEVTOOLS-58:
-----------------------------------------------

As I'm using a 3.1 Eclipse with WTP 0.7 upgraded to Eclipse 3.11 then upgraded to WTP 1.0 then upgraded to every release of WTP after 1.0 (except I releases, that are 1.5 - so I didn't install none of them), I think this could be cause of the problems (some old JAR somewhere). So, this nigth I'll install clean Eclipse 3.11+WTP 1.0.1+required libs+latest Eclipse plugin+Geronimo 1.0 final binary+jetty.

After that, I will have a step-by-step to reproduce (or not) the problem.

If the problem could not be reproduced at clean install, I'll close this bug.

Thanks,

Richter

If you pull down the source from /devtools/eclipse-plugin and simply run "maven -o getwtp" It will generate a new image for you with the correct levels of everything inside /devtools/eclipse-plugin/target/

--------------------------------------------

Environment:
Windows XP SP2
Sun J2SDK 1.4.2_12 and J2RE 1.4.2_12

Steps to reproduce:
Eclipse 3.1.2 build M20060118-1600 with WTP as installed by http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/webtools/downloads/drops/R-1.0.1-200602171228/wtp-all-in-one-sdk-R-1.0.1-200602171228-win32.zip

Created server and used WTP to download and install Geronimo (Tomcat).

Created basic EAR and WAR projects based on this tutorial: http://java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/J2EE/Intro2/servlet/servlet.html

Added EAR project to server. Run -> Run on Server.

Get "Server Error": "Could not find a client that is able to launch the selection"

I am using 3.1.2 with WTP 1.0.1 and I have the exact same issue. Could you check with 3.1.2+WTP 1.0.1
