Upcoming Groovy birthday
Hi folks,
In just 2 months time, Groovy turns 20. Who has some ideas on how to
celebrate?
I plan to release the first alpha for Groovy 5 by then and also write a
"Using Groovy with JDK21" blog post, expanding on:
https://groovy.apache.org/blog/groovy-sequenced-collections
But these are almost business-as-usual activities, I think our 20th needs
something a little extra special.
Thoughts?
Cheers, Paul.

I would prefer to see that money to go into advancing Groovy itself, not
paying someone to do some graphic design or such.

As we all know, Java has several logos. How about creating a new Groovy logo based on the original one?

I asked ChatGPT, and this is what it answered:
Celebrating Groovy's 20th anniversary can be an exciting event for the

1. Organize a Groovy-themed conference or meetup: Host a gathering where

Personally, I think an online event could be enough, something like "Groovy
backstage" in which Groovy users may get to know the people behind it, be
able to ask questions about its future and share past experiences. Some
commemorative t-shirts would be nice (with special Logo).
I want to express my gratitude for the remarkable journey of 20 years that
has shaped Groovy into the phenomenal language it is today.
