Our current surefire setup for the Java E2E tests is exceedingly complicated, because of when it was introduced we split the e2e tests across separate profiles.

This is at least currently not necessary.

Additionally, it appears that not many people are aware of this setup, which has resulted in various e2e tests for pulsar, pubsub and kafka not even being run on CI.
