When browsers request a website, they frequently also request a file called ''favicon.ico'' to display in the address bar of the site next to the URL. This small (16x16) icon file will also frequently be displayed in bookmark or favorites lists, next to the name of the site.

While this file is neither encouraged, or mentioned in any RFC, it is good practice to have one on our site, if only to silence the error logs.
