Current UI doesn't support batch operation in list view. A scenario is that: when an admin need to shutdown all the instances on a host, admin must navigate to the instance list page and shut them down one by one with current UI. It is very inconvenient for a user in a large scale environment. A common way to solve the issue is to put a checkbox in front of each item in the list and provide a operation bar for performing actions on selected(checked) items.
