[jira] [Created] (OODT-376) Addition of Cas-Browser Balance module

Addition of Cas-Browser Balance module
--------------------------------------

                 Key: OODT-376
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OODT-376
             Project: OODT
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: balance
    Affects Versions: 0.4
            Reporter: Gabe Resneck
            Assignee: Gabe Resneck
            Priority: Minor

While Balance provides an awesome framework for web applications, a good deal of our web-based front-end work at JPL has been devoted towards what we call "modules". Modules (as you have most likely already guessed) are code components that you can drop into your Balance deployment and have working after minimal configuration (no coding necessary). The Cas-Browser is one of the Balance modules that we've been developing. It's used to look at products contained in a File Manager and provides great ways to browse that data and then download it (if enabled) via a Product Server.
I'll have a patch up as soon as I can add all of the Apache headers.

    Attachment: OODT-376_resneck_02-23-12_patch.txt

Here's the patch! Since we don't have a place in the repo for modules yet, you'll notice that everything in here is inside a 'modules' directory. Later modules will also be placed inside this directory.

Gabe,

Thanks very much for putting this patch together, it looks great -- only one suggestion:

It looks like the file 'myconfig.ini' is one of your own configuration files that got included in this patch. Could you double check whether or not you meant to include it?

Other than that, +1!

New patch! This one fixes a few of my mistakes in the previous patch. The license has been added to the top of config.ini. myconfig.ini has been removed. I also removed styleFiles.txt which was the file confusingly showing the jQuery library in 2 different locations and also containing references to files inside .svn directories.

----------------------------------------

Looks like, at the very least,

modules/cas-browser/static/js/jquery-1.4.2-min.js
static/js/jquery-1.4.2-min.js

You've got jquery-1.4.2 min in there 2x. You also have included in the path your .svn folder which should be removed.
I would do a *careful* review of what's there and remove the duplication and erroneous files.

# config.ini should have an ALv2 license header in it

I'll fix up config.ini and remove myconfig.ini, but, Chris, could you please clarify what you mean by saying that jQuery is included multiple times? The modules contains a number of libraries from jQuery, but as far as I know, they all perform different functions.
