[users@httpd] strange Alias error

i am getting a very strange error in apache Alias 
which is that i have defined Aliases in apache 
like this

Alias /movies /mnt/movies

but a very starange error is coming  when i type 

http://servername/movies

it goes to http://msn.com/movies NOT FOUND  page

but when i type http://servername/movies/ it works

y is this so ? i havent used this slash in Alias ?

plz help me out here
