RE: SSO_COOKIE varchar > 255, was: Maven Build Error with mysql Too big column length for column 'COOKIE'DateMo

Hello,

Was wondering if there was ever any progress on this issue:

[sql] SQL: CREATE TABLE SSO_COOKIE ( COOKIE_ID MEDIUMINT NOT NULL,
COOKIE VARCHAR(1024) NOT NULL, CREATE_DATE TIMESTAMP NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY(COOKIE_ID))
[sql] Failed to execute: CREATE TABLE SSO_COOKIE ( COOKIE_ID
MEDIUMINT NOT NULL, COOKIE VARCHAR(1024) NOT NULL, CREATE_DATE TIMESTAMP
NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY(COOKIE_ID))

BUILD FAILED
/home/matola/tmp/jetspeed-installer/build.xml:93: java.sql.SQLException:
Too big column length for column 'COOKIE' (max = 255). Use BLOB instead

It seems to work in mysql 4.1.x and is an issue for 4.0.x I hunted threw
the bug db and didn't see anything either.

I saw a cross thread where someone said that it work from source build
but not the multDb installer, but what I noticed from the tar file
ftp://apache.cs.utah.edu/pub/apache.org/portals/jetspeed-2/sources/jetsp
eed-2.0-src.tar.gz

was sql scripts are different from the installer, in fact the file
(security-schema.sql) with the issue isn't included. There is a
jetspeed-2.0-src/etc/schema/security-schema.xml does the source bundle
use Torque or some thing?

Cheers Tod Matola

Here's the original thread.

Right. This is a problem. I will speak to Roger here at ApacheCon.
