[jira] [Created] (KNOX-62) Create start and stop scripts in bin
Kevin Minder created KNOX-62:
--------------------------------
Summary: Create start and stop scripts in bin
Key: KNOX-62
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-62
Project: Apache Knox
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Kevin Minder
These must follow the general pattern of other Hadoop components. It is probably best to look at /usr/lib/haddop/bin/hadoop-daemon.sh. I'm still undecided about how decoupled from Hadoop we should be. For example should we copy hadoop-daemon.sh? These scripts also need to be verified to work on mac. In addition we need the windows equivalent bat or cmd files. I was considering using Apache Commons Daemon for this but my concern is that will make Knox too different from other Hadoop ecosystem projects.
