Rob,

I f I am not mistaken this was implemented before. (check the patch).
But now when I look at the code, the queue is not deleted, instead left to be deleted by the broker (bcos it's auto-delete)

You had the following code segment in the patch, maybe u should add that. 
+ if(_session.isQueueBound(getQueueName()))
+        {
+            _session.deleteQueue(getQueueName());
+        }
