[jira] Commented: (FELIX-2551) Log level drop down in log service plugin does not work

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-2551?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12919178#action_12919178 ]

Valentin Valchev commented on FELIX-2551:
-----------------------------------------

I really don't understand what do you mean.

Log level *is changeable*, and when you change it, as example to warning - it will show warning + error messages. In most browsers you don't need to press the reload button, in order to get you log messages filtered.

The reload button, actually takes care of the selected level and uses it to reload only messages, with same or lower log level. It would be too irritating, if I want to see only warning, and when pressing the reload button, to reset the level and see info and debug messages also. Then I need to go again and set the filter to warning...

Can you describe in detail what kind of behavior do you expect with the log plugin.

> The current log service plugin draws a drop down box for the minimum log level and the reload button suggest to change this settings with the button.
> I guess, the level should not be displayed as a drop down as it is not changeable.
> In addition the reload button does not seem to work - or at least it does not reset the drop down
