We're experiencing problems when trying to open the same spreadsheet in more
than one machine within the same network. Once opened in one station, other
users can't ope the same file, even if in "read-only" access.

This is not a bug but a regular behavior. A file can't be opened by users at
the same time. Except if you enable the sharing option (see Tools menu).
