   Yeah I think they come from all over the place. Many got contributed as single PRs. 
   
   I did a bit of git archeology to find this one https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/pull/4939 , no indication of provenance on the source PR.
   
   My incline might be to deprecate this visualization and re-think the feature. We've been talking about implementing a mini geo-store service inside Superset at Lyft. In Lyft's fork we've done some work in that direction. Things like joining zip codes to their visual representation.
   
   Another idea, how about migrating this visualization out as a plugin? Are we at a point where the plugin system is ready to do this?
