Upcoming Subversion developer's summit.

For those who haven't heard:

We're holding a Subversion developer's summit in October, in Mountain
View, California, USA, at the Google headquarters (Google is hosting).
Details at http://www.red-bean.com{NO_WIKI_SPAM}/svnwiki/SVNSummit.

Take out the "{NO_WIKI_SPAM}" to get the right URL.

We sent invitations only to those in the COMMITTERS file. Remember
it's a development summit, not a general all-things-Subversion
conference. Too many people and the summit would be unwieldy; plus
that would strain our host's resources.

Because not all committers can attend, and because there are patch
contributors who are not committers, we are making it a principle that
the Summit is a place for discussion but not decisions. Decisions
about Subversion will still happen here, on this list, where all
developers can participate in the usual way. If people want to come
up with proposals at the Summit, that's fine of course -- it's just
that the proposals must still be brought to the online community for
final decisions.

I'm posting this mainly so those occasional comments you'll see here
and in IRC about "the summit" won't be so mysterious :-).
