FP and page refresh

When I submit a value from a form using the FP taglib fp:if-post and
fp:write tags, the page always seems to refresh with the new value. This is
a problem for a WAP deck since it places a duplicate entry in the history
stack. This means that a user has to press the "back" button twice to go
back to the previous card. Is there any way to prevent the page from being
refreshed when a value is submitted?
