Thread behaviour for persistence and non-persistence messages

Hi,

Does ActiveMQ uses parallel threads for queuing the messages for persistence
and non-persistence messages ? Does broker have a thread pool, from which
threads are allocated to the process of message enqueuing  ?

I want to understand the threading model of this aspect?
