Kirk True updated KAFKA-15865:

Component/s: clients
> Ensure consumer.poll() execute autocommit callback
> --------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: KAFKA-15865
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-15865
> Project: Kafka
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Components: clients, consumer

> When the network thread completes autocommits, we need to send a message/event to the application to notify the thread to execute the callback. In KAFKA-15327, the network thread sends a AutoCommitCompletionBackgroundEvent to the polling thread. The polling thread should trigger the OffsetCommitCallback upon receiving it.
