I am in the latest version of openoffice.
Wheneven I open spreadsheet and just press F1 to open the help, It works fine.
But when I close the Help open office closes all the files and restarts in the
file recovery mode again.

Thanks for the data.
Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this behavior on Windows 10 and Linux.
Furthermore I haven't heard about such thing in the past. I guess it has
something to do with your environment or user profile.
The usual starting point is to delete or rename the OpenOffice user profile.
Doing this sorts out the very most of stability problems. Details of how to do

1) Step To reproduce
Open any document, spreadsheet.
Press F1.
Close Help opened from F1.
2) I am using windows 7 Ultimate
3) Yes. It happens with each document & spreadsheet file.
4) It also happens with no document open. I have tried with opening spreadsheet
and blank document also

- What is the Windows version you are using?
- Does this happen with every document or only with a few or a specific one?
