Gary Gregory commented on LOG4J2-1100:

> I wanted to use yaml instead of XML for better lisibility of the configuration. Here is the configuration I am using :
> {noformat}
> Configuration:
>   status: warn
>
>   Appenders:
>     Console:
>       - name: Console
>         target: SYSTEM_OUT
>         PatternLayout:
>           Pattern: "%d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} [%t] %-5level %logger{36} - %msg%n"
>     RollingFile:
>       - name: File
>         fileName: "${sys:user.home}/.btat/btat.log"
>         filePattern: "${sys:user.home}/.btat/logs/btat-%d{yyyy-MM}-%i.log.gz"
>         PatternLayout:
>           Pattern: "%d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} [%t] %-5level %logger{36} - %msg%n"
>         Policies:
>             - TimeBasedTriggeringPolicy:
>                 interval: 7
>             - SizeBasedTriggeringPolicy:
>                 size: 100 MB
>         DefaultRolloverStrategy:
>           max: 20
>   Loggers:
>     Root:
>       level: info
>       AppenderRef:
>         - ref: Console
>         - ref: File
>  {noformat}
> When running the application I have the following error in the console :
> {noformat}
> 2015-08-21 11:25:26,052 ERROR appender RollingFile has no parameter that matches element Policies
> {noformat}
> I tried different changes but had no success. From what I understand the configuration above seems to be correct, but I may be wrong.
