[jira] [Commented] (COUCHDB-1674) Unfix part of the view compaction status

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-1674?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13573812#comment-13573812 ]

Stefan Kögl commented on COUCHDB-1674:
--------------------------------------

When applying fix_index_upgrade.diff onto current 1.3.x (73195d31fcf192a4d821b0d751a4775f65753632) I can query and update all views that were migrated from a 1.2.x instance. See [my initial report|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-1654?focusedCommentId=13573270&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-13573270] for some context.

> When I rewrote the indexer I fixed part of the view compaction tasks status by adding a reduce function to the id tree in each view file. This borks when we try and upgrade indexes from previous versions. Reverting this fix until we get to a 2.0 or some such where we can require a dump load of the db data.
