[jira] [Updated] (AVRO-1433) StringType of "String" Breaks Aliases
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-1433?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Tim Blackman updated AVRO-1433:
-------------------------------
Attachment: avro-compiler-example.zip
In the attached project, the com.example.RunMe program demonstrates invoking the SpecificCompiler.compileToDestination on a record that contains a field alias. If setStringType is set on the compiler, the resulting alias entry does not end up in the generated Java class's schema.

> Using the Avro SpecificCompiler, if I set the stringType to be "String", certain field aliases will fail to make it into the compiled Java file.
> I'll attach an example project that demonstrates the issue.
