### What problem does this feature solve?
This is how edgeLabel is positioned now by default:
Adding `edgeLabel: {position: 'start'}` helps, but it still looks messy:
Is it possible to shift the edgeLabel towards the center so it does not collide with the node circle and text? I've tried to indicate the desired position on the screenshot.
### What does the proposed API look like?
I would change how `edgeLabel: {position: 'start'}` works currently without inroducing a new API.

Speaking about alternatives, `align` and `verticalAlign` is probably enough, but the align should be different depending on the node position relative to the center of the layout:
- align: right if the node is to the right
- align: left if the node is to the left
- verticalAlign: bottom is the node is to the top
I don't really know how to achieve that and there are also intermediate positions like "top right" etc.
Any examples are appreciated :grin:

other options to consider :
* [edgeLabel.rich](https://echarts.apache.org/en/option.html#series-graph.edgeLabel.rich) formatting
* graph.layout='none' - everything is controlled with x,y coordinates
* [radial tree](https://echarts.apache.org/examples/en/editor.html?c=tree-radial) instead, with intermediate nodes as edgelabels
