Job specific metadata

Sorry, its me again!

For a job that indexes a SharePoint 2013 site and
puts the data into a Solr 4.10.3 shard, ManifoldCF 2.0.1 does not allow
manipulation of metadata via the web ui.

On the jobs metadata tab, there
are no options to add new metadata to pass to Solr for this specific job. You
can only exclude a certain header. This functionality was available in 1.7.2, but appears to have been lost in 2.0.2, although it is documented to be there.

 When you add a metadata
transformer connection, this appears to have no effect at all on any of the
options you can specify.

Is there a way to add job specific metadata for ManifoldCF to pass into Solr? Kind regards, Paul

Hi Paul,

I'd look at Madalina's response with respect to the missing groups.

For the Metadata Adjuster, I know for a fact that this works. For any
transformation connection, you need to insert it into the pipeline after
you add your output connection. If you send me a screen shot of your
pipeline (in the Connections tab), I can give you more precise directions.

Thanks,
Karl

Hi Karl,

Many thanks for the speedy response.

Sadly we've tired this and can't get it to work. No additional tabs appear in the job.

Hi Paul,
This second question is easier to answer. See the Metadata Adjuster transformation connector.
As for the first question: what setting have you selected for the access tokens for your connection? Native, or SIDs?

Hi Paul,

This second question is easier to answer. See the Metadata Adjuster
transformation connector.

As for the first question: what setting have you selected for the access
tokens for your connection? Native, or SIDs?
