Hi,
Problem seems to be with the JIT, SYMCJIT.NLM 3.10u. When I
setenv JAVA_COMPILER=NONE
prior to starting it all works great and Tomcat 4.1.12 starts ( albeit slowly )
and seems functional. There are similar reports under NT/2K which gave me the
idea to try this. Perhaps they are related, perhaps not. But I was unable to
elicit any more detailed error messages from Java under NetWare other than the
single line exc eption messsage. Here is my environment:
NetWare 5.1 + SP 5 + JVM1.3.1_01 ( applied JVM131SP1.exe ) + Tomcat 4.1.12
binary distribution.
