Zend Optimizer in Tomcat?!?

I have asked this question to the PHP lists but to no avail.

I have a fully working Tomcat with PHP4.0 as a servlet. The strange thing is
that I can't load the Zend Optimizer when running on Tomcat. Standard Apache
is no problem. What worries me a bit is that nothing show up in my logfiles.
Is there any way I can debug this or has anyone made this combo work?

PHP4.0 as a servlet? Is there such a version? where can i get it??
