[jira] Created: (INFRA-3277) email to solr-user mailing list is
being returned as spam #2
email to solr-user mailing list is being returned as spam #2
------------------------------------------------------------
Key: INFRA-3277
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-3277
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: Mailing Lists
Environment: Windows XP, Chrome, gmail
Reporter: Ophir Adiv
Attachments: mail-ophir1.txt
I have been trying to send a certain email to the solr-user@lucene mailing list but it keeps bouncing back as spam.
I am a subscribed to the list, and was able to send emails to the solr-user list in the past.
I tried sending this message in a couple of different (similar) wordings, and also asked a colleague to try and post this message.
All attempts resulted in delivery failure, due to "spam score (5.1) exceeded threshold (state 18)."
What should I do next?

The header:
Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=001485f4501a528d950496f6cff8
means that the mail was not sent using plain text.
HTML messages automatically increase the spam score, so try sending the same content using plain text.
