I have updated to 4.1.1, but the problem persists. I am a long term user of
Open Office, and have had no problems until this one appeared. When I am
looking at the long list of folders, and click the button "NEW FOLDER" with
the intent to create a new folder, nothing happens. I cannot create a new
folder. Therefore I do not have the ability to create a new folder with my
client's name. I can save documents. I just cannot create a new folder. All
work-arounds are non-responsive. Please comment with the assumption that I
know how to use a program which I have been using for many years, please.
The open/save dialogue will not let me create a new folder.
I believe that this is a bug issue. Not a help desk issue.

OS: WIN 7, WIN 8, WIN 8.1
TEST:
Created test folder with 200 folders encapsulated. Then create new
folder/directory from within OO using file->open + file->save via dialogue.
UNABLE TO REPLICATE:
Issue appears to be isolated, try to use different computer to see if problem
persists.

Unfortunately you are in wrong place here.
This is the Bug tracking system, not a helpdesk.
To create a new folder, you must use your file system explorer.
If you don't know what I mean, you can get additional assistance on support

One can create new folders in all Open-/Save-Dialogues. There is a button to do
this. If there is a problem the circumstances should be described better.
Options – OpenOffice – General: Open/Save dialogue boxes
[_] Use OpenOffice dialogue boxes (Yes/No?)
