I think they started being embedded with SLING-2024 . I am not sure how well this could work in terms of OSGi support from logback, so this would need some investigation.

_Edit_: the Felix logback bundle takes this approach, so it might work for this bundle as well: https://felix.apache.org/documentation/subprojects/apache-felix-logback.html
