[jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-15710) ABFS checkException to map 403 to AccessDeniedException

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-15710?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16761123#comment-16761123 ]

Steve Loughran commented on HADOOP-15710:
-----------------------------------------

Reviewing, issue still here.

checkException should take 403 and uprate to some permission error. This is a signing/auth problem, so shouldn't be confused with access denied...its a bad auth problem. PathPermissionException? PathAccessDeniedException? Or some new Authentication exception?

> when you can't auth to ABFS, you get a 403 exception back. This should be translated into an access denied exception for better clarity/handling
