Xalan 1.3 -> 1.4 Changelog?
I was looking at the major changes since 1.3 as listed at
http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c/readme.html#done
In trying to get XML::Xalan to work with Xalan C++ 1.4, I noticed two
functions that seem to have been removed from Xalan altogether:
getNumber() and supports( XalanDOMString, XalanDOMString )
I'm hoping to be able to get some patches going for XML::Xalan, but I
need to know more details about why these were removed. There was no
information about them I could find in the changes list or in the bug
database. And there doesn't seem to be a thorough Changelog anywhere
in the sources.

For any interested parties on this list, I was able successfully to build
XML::Xalan 0.44 (available from CPAN) against Xalan C++ 1.4 by removing
the reference to getNumber() from xs.dom and by changing the references
to supports() to isSupported() in the same file.

getNumber() seems to be a party of Stylesheet among others. I see it in
XSLT/Stylesheet.hpp
XalanSourceTree/XalanSourceTreeDocument.hpp
XercesParserLiaison/XercesDocumentBridge.hpp
XalanDOM/XalanDocument.hpp
in the 1.3 sources.
