How to write custom appender

   Hi All,
            I need to write a custom appender. I need the functionality
of both DailyRollingAppender and RollingAppender together. 
I mean I need to write a appender which creates a new log file every
monday. But if the log file size reaches certain limit, I need 
to create a new log file.
 
Any help is highly appriciated.
