Asset Upload Bug

It seems that the asset upload (at least within 1.2.1-dev) has a bug 
since the recent fix of another bug. Assume that the URL is

.../index.html

but the actual XML file is "news.xml"

Until now one was able to specify the document id within the 
querystring, e.g.
 
document-id=/news

then the actual upload fails, because the file index.xml doesn't exist.

Any clue?
