Running into known Jenkins issue with our PR job

Our checkstyle runs in our DEV@cloud PR builder job [1] are currently  
failing with NPEs [2] :-( It seems like this is a known issue:

I know we have some Jenkins people on board - if one of them perhaps  
can take a brief look to see if this is something simple that would be  
great!
