ASCll Filter Options

Hello. I am located in Canada. When I click on a pdf document in my list of documents (File/Open) it brings up the window noted above ASCll Filter Options. The Character Set comes up as Western Europe (Windows-1252...) If I say OK, I can’t read the document. I don’t see an option for Canada or North America... can you advise what I should do?
