[jira] [Created] (SOLR-9756) CollapsingQParserPlugin doc should point out limitations

Neil Ireson created SOLR-9756:
---------------------------------

Summary: CollapsingQParserPlugin doc should point out limitations
                 Key: SOLR-9756
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-9756
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
    Affects Versions: 6.3
            Reporter: Neil Ireson
            Priority: Minor

It would be good if the JavaDoc stated "min/max must be either TrieInt, TrieLong or TrieFloat." rather than it being a pleasant surprise when you try to use the function.

Also is there any fundamental reason why the function is limited to these three field types. I had a look at the code and as far as I can fathom there's no reason why bytes, shorts and doubles couldn't also be included.
