exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Files\Common

dear list!

i have just installed the xindice-server 1.0

the install-dir does NOT have the same content like shown on the
how-to-page http://xml.apache.org/xindice/community/howto/compilation/windows.html. don't know, if that does matter.

after all, i can start the server itself. http-server runs.

but wenn using the shell (xindice ...) i get a java-error:
"exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
Files\Common"

javaversion: j2sdk1.4.0_03 (even tried with 1.3 ...)
os: Win2k

where have i gone wrong?

thx in adavance!

greetinx!

Gottfried,
Try using the Xindice 1.0 scripts located here:

  http://home1.gte.net/greno/Updated_Batch_Files_for_Xindice_1_0.htm

  These may help you.

Regards,

Gerry Reno
