There certainly seems to be activity on the PR: [https://github.com/apache/incubator-livy/pull/249]

I am uncertain what timing looks like and I would really like to burn down the remaining blockers to get 0.8.0 release process moving.

If I do not hear otherwise in a day or so, I will move to 0.9.0 and we can discuss pulling it back in if need be here in the JIRA.
