I just did some testing. It isn't my changes from last week. In fact it worked
just fine when I first gave it a try after seeing this bug. I then did a svn
update and a clean rebuild and it failed to work. I know I did a clean build
yesterday, so it is a new problem.

I can confirm that observation - a change on line 160 in the default pubs sitemap seems to be the cause of the problem (I currently try to debug)

to reduce the number of pipeline stages, i tried to request
http://localhost:8888/default/authoring/index.bxe.html directly.
now it looks like the language-exists action is eating the parameter {1} that
should be used for rendertype={1} in line 133f (document-content matcher).
if i comment out the action so that the generator is accessed directly,
rendertype is set and the resulting file contains bxe_xpath.
when the action is active, rendertype is empty and hence no bxe_xpath is set.

maybe it's related to the huge number of nested pipelines? andreas has
introduced yet another level of indirection (**.bxe.html --> lenyabody-** -->
lenyabody-raw** --> document-content** --> POOF).
maybe we have triggered a cocoon bug?

now when i look at the profiler, i don't find any call with rendertype "edit"
there, just view. the code that j�rgen suspected seems to be perfectly
equivalent to the old code, it's just that rendertype never gets to be "edit",
and iirc that's what causes the bxe_xpath attribute to be set.
