How to update the schema?

Hello,how to update the imported shcema?
I just write my schema that contain objectClass and attribute, I imported it and I modify some.
I import it again within ApacheDS studio, but I receive an error:

ERR_84 Unwilling to perform modify on ou=attributeTypes, cn=yongtai, ou=schema:

AFAIR, you can't modify an existing schema element. You just can remove
it and add the new element.
