Which version should I have downloaded from svn?

I didn't see a lot of difference until I got to the "Build PDFBox"
page - and the site on the incubator has different text than the svn
trunk does.

You might have notice that I usually write "SVN" when I refer to
"Subversion". "svn" would be the command-line tool. But others might do
this differently. This just how I do it.

Nope, sorry, just me being stupid.

I was fixing the "Build" page to point to the incubator download page
instead of the old sourceforge page but somehow in the switching back
and forth between what I was editing and the site I noticed the bit on
the incubator download page that referred to the svn downloads which
weren't on the "Build" page.

If you found that explanation confusing, so did I :)

A style question: in the old pages CVS is capitalized - I've not
capitalized svn where I've done the replacement - is that correct?

I've built the site from https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/pdfbox/trunk

I don't see any differences on the "Build PDFBox" page. What I can see
is that there's a link to the source code that still points to
SourceForge. When I published the first version of the website I didn't
check all of the user guide. Maybe that's what's confusing you.
